Life in the black forest transformed as this spirit moved. Plants that had been silent for the lifetimes of men began to sing the lightest, quietest, most peaceful song. Lion’s ears fluttered over the sound of it. It rang inside of her and sparked a strong familiarity. Tenderness came over Lion and she could not move from where she stood. The ashy black that lay over the forest crackled and whispered as her enchantment charmed death into life. Lion could feel relief and joy in the forest. Trees exhaled, buffalowill blossomed, and even brooks babbled. Mushrooms sang their lighthearted songs of healing that the faeries and them had constructed together. Life ravished in the warmth of the enchantress’s glow. She was completely transpired by what she witnessed in this deep, hidden and carved away place.
